Inspiring children's writing through Matilda at KS2
Date: Thursday 27 June 2013
Location: Cambridge Theatre, London
Core texts: Roald Dahl's Matilda and Dennis Kelly's Matilda The Musical
Inspired by the RSC production Matilda The Musical and the creative process the writer undertook to bring the novel Matilda to life on stage, we've created a course which will give you a wealth of activities and approaches to support and enrich children's writing at KS2.
As well as exploring drama and writing exercises that can be used for adapting and transferring text, the day will focus on key script-writing skills for young people, especially creating character, plotting, writing dialogue and editing.
