Introducing young children to Shakespeare
Friday 6 July 2012
King Lear and A Midsummer Night's Dream
Clore Learning Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon
Ideal for: Early Years practitioners and KS1 teachers
This course will demonstrate how readily young children can enjoy playing with Shakespeare's language and the worlds of his plays.
Through direct work in early years settings, RSC practitioners have developed approaches that use good Early Years practice to give children a creative and playful introduction to Shakespeare.
'Start it Earlier' is one of the three principles of our Stand up for Shakespeare manifesto and this highly practical course will give you plenty of ideas and approaches to make this happen in your setting.
Cost: £130 (£115 RSC Education members)
'Excellent CPD - really enjoyed all the new ideas and games and the opportunity to learn by doing.'
