Tracy Irish
Tracy is currently the RSC's Education Programme Developer for the World Shakespeare Festival. In this role she is exploring where, how and why the world teaches Shakespeare through research and the sharing of good practice.
Tracy has worked for the RSC for five years as a project manager, researcher and practitioner. Before this, she was a teacher of English and Drama for 16 years, with experience of running departments in the UK and abroad.
Her work with Shakespeare in the classroom led to a series of books called The Shorter Shakespeare, published by Carel Press, and to directing a number of productions with young people.
In 2001, Tracy completed the MA in Shakespeare Studies at The Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham, graduating with Distinction and has studied for a PhD in Shakespeare and Education at the University of Warwick.
