In her role as Student Programme Developer Sophie delivers workshops, conferences and events for students and facilitates workshops throughout the term.
Before joining the RSC she worked extensively with Polka Theatre as their Youth Theatre Director and Community Engagement Manager. As well as this she was a freelance theatre practitioner working at many theatre companies including The National Theatre, Old Vic, Soho Theatre, Arts Council, Kevin Spacey Foundation, Singapore Rep. and Stephen Joseph Theatre among others.
Highlights included developing Twelfth Night in Twelve Minutes for performance in Singapore, directing young people's plays to be performed by professional actors at Soho Theatre and touring a play for Key Stage 1 students involving a puppet called Spike for Polka Theatre.
She trained as an actor and gained an MA in Acting from East 15 Acting School; going on to work in both Theatre and Television.
