End
of the RSC's 2011 New York Season
Our residency at Park Avenue Armory reached its conclusion on Sunday 14
August with all five productions playing their last ever performances in
repertoire over the weekend.
We continued to play to full houses and standing ovations, and now the
lights have gone down on As You Like It the mammoth task begins of
dismantling everything and putting it all back into the 47 containers.
The Royal Shakespeare Company presented by Lincoln Center Festival and
Park Avenue Armory, in association with The Ohio State University.

Shakespeare
in a Suitcase July 2011
To support our season, we presented our series of pieces entitled
Shakespeare in a Suitcase; a twenty-minute version of Shakespeare's The
Tempest, performed by seven members of the RSC Ensemble in New York.
We held four performances across the state at the Her Majesty's
Consul-General, a supporter's home in Southampton, a city apartment and
The Bridge golf club in Bridgehampton.
Thank you to all of those who made this possible and joined us for the
performances.
