Stratford-upon-Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon, the town where William Shakespeare was born and died, attracts audiences and artists from around the world and is the home of the RSC.
The new Royal Shakespeare Theatre, due to be completed in 2010, will house a new 1000-seat thrust stage auditorium in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the largest thrust stage with a tiered auditorium in the world.
Until then The Courtyard Theatre will be the RSC's main home and the Company will make use of venues across Stratford-upon-Avon, such as the Civic Hall.
London
London is a vital part of the RSC's national presence. The RSC performs in the UK capital throughout the year in a range of different theatres.
Newcastle
Since 1977, Newcastle has provided a third home for the RSC. Each year the company proudly transfers productions to the city's theatres for a season of work, along with extensive educational and community projects. Find out more about the RSC's Newcastle Season.
