Travelling by Metro
Theatre Royal
The nearest metro station, Monument Metro is on Grey Street, in easy walking distance of the Theatre Royal. Travel to and from the Theatre is free by Metro, simply retain your theatre ticket for inspection on the metro (only from Monument Metro).
Northern Stage
The nearest metro station, Haymarket Metro is on Percy Street, within easy walking distance of Northern Stage which is on the University of Newcastle campus. Monument Metro is also within a few minutes walk of the theatre.
Travelling by car
Theatre Royal
John Dobson Street and New Bridge Street Car Parks are open until 11pm. Dean Street Car Park is open 24 hours and there are other parking facilities close by. There are two reserved parking spaces for Blue Badge Holders on Shakespeare Street, and three on Hood Street.
Northern Stage
There are two car parks close to the University of Newcastle campus on Percy Street and New Bridge Street.
Travelling by bus
Theatre Royal
The Haymarket Bus Station is also within 10 minutes walking distance of the Theatre Royal.
Northern Stage
The Haymarket Bus Station is also within easy walking distance of the Northern Stage.
