The Learning Network is a unique opportunity for primary and secondary schools to work with one of the worlds best known theatre ensembles.
The network offers a sustained relationship between the RSC and school communities across England. It is an opportunity for schools who would otherwise find it difficult to access our work to forge strong links with us.
Aims of the Learning Network
- to provide a national framework for the sustained and developmental learning of educators interested in the areas of Shakespeare, literacy and drama and theatre;
- to significantly increase the numbers of students who understand, enjoy and explore Shakespeares plays and language through performance
- to support and nurture English and Drama teachers and enhance their enthusiasm for their work through the provision of a range of innovating and sustained CPD opportunities;
- to offer schools in England a meaningful and ongoing relationship with the RSC
