Captioning involves scrolling the text of the play onto an LED screen
which is situated near to the stage. This enables you to read the dialogue
as the actors speak the words.
It is important that when booking for a captioned performance you tell the
Box Office so that they can allocate a seat for you where you can see the caption box.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Audio Described Performances
We offer audio description for visually impaired patrons on certain performances. Audio description is a live commentary giving details of all the visual aspects of a production as it unfolds, delivered via a headset. The commentary is interspersed with the actors' dialogue.
Before the play begins you can hear an introduction to the production which gives details of the set, costumes and characters. You can also get the introductory notes on CD sent to your home to listen to before you come to the theatre.
If you require this service, please tell us when you book your tickets, or email email@example.com. These CDs are also available to listen to if you come to a performance. Please note that they will not be available for the first four weeks of the production.
Live broadcast to cinemas
This is a filmed performance for live broadcast to cinemas and therefore you must be seated by 7:00pm.
Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break (which may be the interval).
