RSC Work Placement Programme
We offer a variety of work placements throughout the year in almost every department across the Company. Having a work placement at the Royal Shakespeare Company will give you a first-hand opportunity to see a fully professional, internationally renowned theatre company at work.
A full list of available placements is provided below. Placements are unpaid and can last anything from one week to three months. Each department will only be able to offer between six and eight placements per year so in order to avoid disappointment, please make sure that you apply well in advance of your preferred dates.
Applicants must meet the specified criteria of the placement for which they are applying. For Health & Safety purposes a number of the technical based placements will only accept candidates of 18 years of age or over.

Upon receiving your complete application form, our work placement team will liaise directly with the relevant Department Manager in order to process your application. Due to the high volume of application forms that we receive, it can sometimes take a while to review all the applications. However, you will receive notification from the work placement team that your application has been received. Once applications have been reviewed we will again be in touch to inform you if you have been successfully short listed or not.
The demand for placements is high, so before you apply you need to think carefully about why you are applying and be able to demonstrate a keen interest in the placement.
