Theatre Jukebox is nominated for interactive award
The Stand + Stare Theatre Jukebox, currently in the Swan Theatre foyer, has been nominated for a major digital award.
It has been selected as a finalist in the SXSW Interactive Awards, under the Art category.
Theatre Jukebox, built by Stand + Stare, is an arcade-style cabinet that plays stories instead of records and allows you to choose the chapters you want, using material and inspiration from our current season and our archives.
Take a seat, slip on the headphones and watch as the photograph you have chosen comes to life.
The winners of the SXSW Interactive Awards, which uncovers the best new digital work, from mobile and tablet apps to websites and installations, will be announced in March.
As part of this award, Theatre Jukebox is also eligible for the Audience Choice Award, which is voted for by the public.
