RSC stars in Bollywood film
Bollywood film stars Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor were in Stratford recently to film scenes for a new movie. Directed by acclaimed film director, Kunal Kohli, the movie has a working title 'Yours and My Story' and includes scenes shot in The Courtyard Theatre and around Stratford.
Priyanka and Shahid play two young lovers who visit the theatre and act out a dream-like sequence using influences from Shakespeare's work. The crew of 60 worked throughout the night filming both outside the theatre and in the 1,000 seat auditorium. Filming continues in Nottingham over the coming weeks when the production company will re-enact a major Shakespeare festival using costumes from our costume hire store. The movie will be released worldwide in 2012.
