Live from Stratford-upon-Avon behind the scenes

Ahead of our first ever cinema screening, we are opening up our work behind the scenes through series of short films.

Our new production of Richard II, with David Tennant in the title role, will be shown in cinemas across the UK and around the world, live from Stratford-upon-Avon on 13 November.

Last Friday we released the first in a series of short production diary films in  the run-up to the screening.

The films will be released regularly, through our website, giving insights into the rehearsal process, the background to the play, its themes, how our actors work on the play's language and much more.

There will also be live footage on the night, before the show's screening and during the interval, hosted by broadcast journalist Suzy Klein (pictured).

Suzy hosts programmes across radio and television, co-presenting Saturday Live on BBC Radio 4 and hosting 'InTune', Radio 3's drivetime programme. Alongside regular broadcasts for Sky Arts, she presents The Proms on television and is currently making a series on 18th century music and culture for BBC Four TV.
