Theatre Design: Unlocking the World of the Play

Join RSC Associate Designer Tom Piper for a one-day intensive masterclass exploring the process of theatre design from initial concept to final stage production, using approaches directly transferable to the classroom.
Tom has designed over 20 productions for the RSC, including the acclaimed 2006-2008 Histories Cycle, for which he won an Olivier Award.

Directing Masterclass with Lyndsey Turner

Learn about contemporary theatre practice in this two-day course with Lyndsey Turner, director of the RSC's current production of Candide and Associate Director at Sheffield Crucible.
Lyndsey will explore how a range of techniques she uses with professional actors can be transferred to your work with young people.

Text and Voice Masterclass: Reading the Score
Friday 8 – Saturday 9 November
Using Richard II as a starting point, explore the process actors undertake to understand and own Shakespeare's language in this immersive two-day course led by Senior Text and Voice Coach Alison Bomber.
Learn techniques to extend and challenge your students as you physically and vocally explore the language to uncover the structures, sounds, rhythms and rhetoric that unlock its meaning.
