Casting update for Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies

Lydia Leonard will play Anne Boleyn in our double bill of Hilary Mantel's novels.

Lydia has been cast as Henry VIII's ill-fated second wife in the two plays, which are being adapted for the stage by Mike Poulton.

Her theatre work has included Polyxena in our 2005 production of Hecuba, Caroline Cushing in Frost/Nixon (Donmar Theatre) and Jackie Onassis in Martin Sherman's Onassis (Novello Theatre).

We recently also announced that Ben Miles will play Thomas Cromwell, Nathaniel Parker will play Henry VIII, Paul Jesson takes the role of Cardinal Wolsey and Lucy Briers will be Catherine of Aragon. See further casting details.

Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies will play in repertoire from December 2013 in the Swan Theatre, directed by Jeremy Herrin.
