Book signing with Nick Asbury

Actor and author Nick Asbury is launching his new book at the theatre with a book signing and Q and A session.

Following his book Exit Pursued by a Badger, which detailed his time as part of the Histories Cycle company in 2006-8, actor Nick Asbury has written his second book White Hart, Red Lion: The England of Shakespeare's Histories.

The White Hart and The Red Lion are two of the most popular pub names in England. Both were talismans that served as the insignia for Richard II and the banished Henry Bolingbroke, Duke of Lancaster, who usurped the throne in 1399.

With fellow RSC actors for company, Nick visits the buildings, landscapes and former sites of war and intrigue that feature in the plays, and asks 'what is it about the England of Shakespeare's Histories that continues to fascinate?'

We are hosting a Q&A with Nick, followed by an opportunity to get your copy of the book signed, in the Circle Bar at 11.30am on Saturday 27 July.

White Hart, Red Lion is now available in the RSC shop, published by Oberon Books.
