The Winners of an Emerging Artists' competition are to perform an adaptation of the award-winning animated film at the Swan Theatre.
FellSwoop Theatre will perform their original stage adaptation of Sylvian Chomet's Academy Award-winning animated film.
Belleville Rendez-vous tells the tale of Madame Souza, her dog Bruno and their fight to rescue her only grandson, Champion, from the mysterious crooks that kidnapped him during a bike race.
Joining forces with ageing jazz trio 'Les Triplettes de Belleville', they hatch an ambitious plan to rescue him from his seeming state of peril.
They will be perfoming as the winners of the International Student Drama Festival (NSDF) Edinburgh Emerging Artists' Competition.
The competition was held in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Methuen Drama, The Pleasance, IdeasTap and Spotlight.
Belleville Rendez-vous will be performed at the Swan Theatre on Sunday 18 September 2011 at 2.15pm.
