New Head of Legal announced

7 November 2013

The Royal Shakespeare Company announces the appointment of Marina Zain as the new Head of Legal replacing Caroline Barnett, who left the RSC earlier this year to begin her own legal consultancy firm.

Marina brings with her nearly twenty years of in-house experience working in senior roles in such organisations as IBM, EMC and British American Tobacco. She has in-depth expertise and a proven track record of success working across borders in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the US. She has both led as well as worked as a part of cross functional teams on a broad range of commercial matters for a diverse portfolio of clients both in the private as well as the public sectors.

Marina Zain said: 'I am thrilled to be a part of the RSC and very much look forward to being a part of and working with a great team.'

Stephen Eames, RSC Director of Finance said: 'Following an external selection process, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Marina Zain as our new Head of Legal. Marina is a very accomplished in-house lawyer with extensive experience across a range of commercial organisations and we are pleased that she has decided to join the RSC.'
