RSC creates cocktails inspired by National Apple Day

14 September 2011

The Bar at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre's newly established Rooftop Restaurant is planning some bespoke apple-based cocktails to celebrate this year's National Apple Day on 21 October.

RSC Head of Catering Rob Fredrickson and his team are keen to use local ingredients and keep seasonality. He said: 'We have created three delicious new cocktails to celebrate the stunning variety of England's apple season – two alcoholic ones, and one non-alcoholic – a 'Cider Mojito'with Cox's Orange Pippins, a 'Golden Lavender' including Golden Delicious apples, and an 'Apple Pie' with fresh Herefordshire Russets and pear puree, along with a few other secret ingredients.”

These new additions will be available on the cocktail menu from 24 September 2011.
