Anita Dobson to make RSC debut in The Merry Wives of Windsor

Anita Dobson, still best known for her iconic role as Angie in BBC TV's EastEnders, is to make her RSC debut as Mistress Quickly in the winter season production of The Merry Wives of Windsor in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Directed by Phillip Breen, Anita will join RSC Associate Artist Desmond Barrit (Falstaff) in Shakespeare's comic tale of love and jealousy which plays at the RST from 25 October until 12 January 2013 in repertoire with The Mouse and His Child.


Anita has just finished the successful tour of the two hander play Bette and Joan playing Joan Crawford, which followed her appearance in the Strictly Come Dancing TV series and follow up national tour.
