Benjamin Zephaniah brings his unique style of poetry to the stage of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre on Sunday 16 September 2012 at 7.30pm.

One of England's best-known and best-loved poets, Benjamin has written many poetry collections for adults and children, as well as plays for the stage, television and radio. He has also produced numerous music recordings, and appeared as an actor in several television and film productions.

Poet and rapper Kate Tempest will also be performing as the supporting act. Kate has been working with the RSC since 2010 helping to bring Shakespeare to a younger audience. Kate recently wrote and performed a new poem to launch the World Shakespeare Festival major digital project, My Shakespeare. The performance can be viewed here.

Benjamin's appearance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre forms part of the Live At The RSC series of performances, which has already seen singers KT Tunstall, Teddy Thompson and Neil Hannon and comedians Chris Addison and Russell Kane playing at the RSC's theatres in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Al Murray

Al Murray, Britain's best known pub philosopher will be serving up his own special brew of bar room banter at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon when he headlines a night of comedy on Sunday 24 June at 7.30pm.

One of the most recognisable and successful comics in the UK with his alter-ego, The Pub Landlord, his ITV1 series, Al Murray's Happy Hour won a British Comedy Award and he is one of the few stand-up comedians to be asked by ITV to perform two Audience With evenings.

Out of character, he hosted Al Murray's German Adventure for BBC4 and his numerous TV appearances have included Frank Skinner's Opinionated and Have I Got News for You (both for the BBC). His stand-up tours have made him one of the most popular live acts in the country.

Russell Kane hosts this evening of comedy which also sees Roisin Conaty, who won the Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2010, kick off proceedings as support act.

Best-known as the psychotic Head of Sixth Form, Mr Gilbert, in the Channel 4 TV comedy and film The InbetweenersGreg Davies is also an acclaimed stand-up comedian.

Following the extended sell-out success of his Firing Cheeseballs At A Dog tour, Greg makes his debut at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
