The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) is inviting members of the public to join them for a one-off event celebrating the 10 year tenure of the Company's soon to depart Artistic Director, Michael Boyd and Executive Director, Vikki Heywood.

Broadcaster and writer Paul Allen, who presents BBC Radio 3's flagship arts programme Night Waves, is hosting the event, which takes place at The Courtyard Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon at 4pm on Sunday 9 September 2012.

Ten Years at the RSC will see Michael and Vikki swapping personal anecdotes and answering questions about their time at the top - the highs and lows, the criticisms and occasional controversies - in what promises to be a light hearted, informative and poignant occasion.

Encompassing major artistic highlights like the Complete Works Season, 50th Birthday Celebrations and World Shakespeare Festival plus of course the business of reconstructing the RSC's home as part of its multi-million pound transformation project, the last ten years have been amongst the most significant in the Company's history.

With Michael and Vikki formally stepping down from their posts in September at the Company's AGM, the event provides a timely opportunity for them to share their memories of the previous decade. They'll be taking to the stage to talk openly about their triumphs, trials and most treasured recollections – giving audience members a unique insight into what it's really like to run one of the world's most famous theatre companies.

Ten Years at The RSC takes place at The Courtyard Theatre from 4pm to 5pm on Sunday 9 September 2012.

Tickets priced £10 are now on sale and can be booked by calling the RSC Box Office on 0844 800 1110 or by ordering online.
