Mark recently retired as Group Chief Executive, Global Markets and Management Consulting at Accenture after 27 years at the company.
In his most recent role he was responsible for the global Management Consulting practice of Accenture, leading the 15,000 consultants around the world as well as directing the firm's innovation and thought leadership agenda with a particular focus on emerging markets and globalisation.
Mark is Chairman of the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF), an NGO which is dedicated to engaging business leaders in global development issues - with a particular focus on defining next generation leadership and collaboration to drive smart, inclusive and responsible growth.
He has been appointed as one of the four Commissioners of the newly formed Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI) which is charged with overseeing the £8 billion UK International Aid spend to ensure value for money and impact on behalf of parliament and the tax payer.
Mark is also Chair of the Global Health Advisory Board of the World Economic Forum - a cross-sector group of senior global leaders who provide direction to the health-related programmes undertaken by the Forum. In addition, he is on the Board of Heidrick & Struggles the NASDAQ-quoted global CEO and Board search organisation and Chairman of Trustees of the Peaslake Schools Trust.
